Stony Clove & Catskill Mountain

The Stony Clove & Catskill Mountain was a three-foot narrow gauge railroad, opened to a mile short of Hunter on June 24, 1882, finally reaching Hunter on August 29. It was formally taken over by the Ulster & Delaware in 1893, and standard-gauged in 1898. The New York Central abandoned the Hunter and Kaaterskill branches in 1940.
